In just over the past 24 hours (my Sunday night through Monday night) I logged 590 contacts, in about 6 hours of time on the air. That was an exciting adventure and definitely a mental exercise. Speaking of mental exercise, I noticed with all this practice copying more unique callsigns than I am used to that my headcopy is quickly improving. The ability to catch a full call the first time, and write that down completely, saves valuable seconds when dealing with a big pileup.
Lastly, I just want to say thank you to everyone for helping me get Wake Island back on the air again. Once again I have been shown that the ham radio community is amazing and I appreciate you all. I wish you all a happy and prosperous new year as we welcome 2025. Cheers & 73, Allen.
