I’ll admit it—I was a bit apprehensive about stepping behind the mic for a podcast. I consider myself a pretty humble person, and talking about myself isn’t exactly my usual mode. But I’m glad I did.
I recently had the pleasure of joining Marc Vig on the All Across America podcast. What started as a bit outside my comfort zone turned into a genuinely enjoyable conversation. We talked about my time in the Air Force, the unique history of Wake Island, what it’s like to live and work here, and of course, a little ham radio action too.
Marc made it easy—his curiosity and thoughtful questions really brought the story to life. If you’ve ever wondered what day-to-day life is like on a remote island in the Pacific, or how ham radio fits into the picture, I think you’ll enjoy it.
